Samsung Electronics will launch smart phones based on Google's latest operating system Android Ice Cream Sandwich in Hong Kong on October 19, 2011.
Previously, the company's second-largest handset maker in the world to delay the launch of new Android smart phones and berbelasungkawa to honor the passing of Apple founder Steve Jobs last week.
"We will introduce new Android smart phone with Google's approval," Samsung said in a statement quoted by Reuters on Friday. Samsung did not reveal the name of the latest gadgets.
Apple and Samsung are involved in legal battles related to more than 20 cases in 10 countries over their competition in the top spot in the market of smart phones and tablets. Apple is also Samsung's biggest customers for chips and screens.
