Goodbye Keyboard

In an age that has technology to smell, writing on paper has become a very ancient custom. All done digitally. A writer will use a variety of gadgets to write, ranging from personal computers (PCs), laptops, tabs, up to a smartphone.

But many also complained about the use of the keyboard on the tablet is too small for the size of a finger. Writing manuals is still considered better than typing on the smartphone.

Unfortunately there is no current technology that combines the power of technology and writing hand. Therefore, existing technologies have not been able to create handwritten accuracy which translates into a digital writing.

Wait a minute. Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has the answer. They created a bracelet that detects the movement of the wrist and translate it into writing.

Rather than relying on a touch screen, bracelets created German researchers allows users to write words in the air. Hand movements are sent wirelessly to a computer.

High accuracy will translate each gesture similar to the digital characters instead of just a punch and move home. This is to avoid writing home on your computer.

Reported Geek.com page, KIT has made models of each type of alphabet that recognizes the difference between writing and not. The system has been equipped with 8 thousand word error rate of 11 percent.

In addition connected to a PC, this bracelet will also be developed in order to connect to the smartphone. So later if you want to write something, users simply waving without having to type on a keyboard that cute.

The team of KIT receives award from Google Research Award and a prize worth 81 thousand dollars for the development of the system. Unfortunately the band is still in the development stage and has not sold commercially.
