Whatsapp has finally found a way to help users track group messages with ease. This app launches a catch catch group tool that allows users to quickly reply to group messages.
To do this, tap the new @ button that appears in the bottom right corner of the chat when the user updates the Whatsapp app. The app has also revealed new features that provide more oversight for administrators as well as regular group members.
Now there's a supervision that lets group admins restrict who can change the subject, icon, and group description that can be changed under 'Group Settings'.
In addition, admins may remove admin permissions from other participants. However, the people who created the group can no longer be removed from the group.
"We have also introduced protection so that users can not be repeatedly added to the group they left behind," the company said in a blog post, as quoted by the Daily Mail on Thursday (17/5).
To update Whatsapp on Iphone, users must sign in to the App Store and click on an update at the bottom. The app will appear in the scroll list and users can click 'Update' next to the icon to get the latest features.
On Android, users should go to the Google Play Store and select 'My Apps & My Games'. In the list of installed applications, they should select 'Whatsapp' and click 'update'.
