Qualcomm along with several mobile operators and other technology companies, seeking to hold 5G internet technology becomes faster. Initially, cellular technology is not expected to be present in 2020. However Qualcomm wants to spread them out in 2019.
Other companies in question consist of AT & T, NTT DoCoMo, SK Telecom, Vodafone, Ericsoon, British Telecom, Telstra, Korea Telecom, Intel, LG Uplus, KDDI, LG Electronics, Telia Company, Swisscom, TIM, Etisalat Group, Huawei, Sprint, Vivo, ZTE, and Deutsche Telekom.
Qualcomm's Vice President of Engineering, John Smee told, Qualcomm and other companies will file a new schedule 5G attendance to 3GPP, a global organization dealing with cellular technology, this week also.
"If approved, the bulk 5G trials could begin in 2018," said Smee to KompasTekno at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017.
Country Manager of Qualcomm Indonesia, Shannedy Ong added that the trial could be started on one of the largest sporting event next year.
