As the rapid development of technology makes many people rarely buy a print calendar. Some people buy a print calendar, but others rely on a digital calendar on a cellphone.
Calendars available on smartphones may not include red dates or national holidays as listed on the print calendar. Digital calendars on mobile phones can actually display red dates, but must be set in advance.
Next Okezone provides easy tips for displaying red dates on the calendar of your smartphone as quoted by Mashtips page, Thursday (01/03/2019).
1. Enter the Google Calendar site and log in with your Google account. |
2. Select the Add Other Calendars menu and click Browse Calendars of Interest.
3. Then you have to choose your place of residence by clicking the check mark on the Regional Holidays column or looking for an Indonesian holiday calendar such as Holidays in Indonesia. After success you can set the color of the holiday which will be displayed in red later.

Four Steps to Make a PC Like New Again
Is one of your resolutions having a faster PC next year? Or maybe you want to further improve gaming performance, multi-tasking, and create various content and documents on a laptop? In a statement submitted to Republika.co.id, Western Digital provides four simple steps that can make a PC feel like new again as follows.
Upgrade Internal Storage
To improve PC performance, the first thing to do is to upgrade the internal storage system to SSD. For comparison, 10,000 RPM HDDs have speeds of 140MB per second, while the WD Blue 3D NAND has speeds of up to 560MB per second. This means that upgrading from a hard-disk drive (HDD) to a solid state drive (SSD) can increase PC speeds by up to four times. The process of booting, playing, until the transfer between applications can be more accelerated and no longer slow.
Not only does it make PC performance faster, SSD storage is also more flexible and durable. This is because SSDs already use chip technology, not disks that are easily damaged when scratched or dropped. SSDs are also more environmentally friendly with less than one watt of electricity consumption, compared to HDDs that consume more than 10 watts.
Move unused data
Like electronic equipment in general, if the PC's memory is full, its performance will be hampered. Therefore, as much as possible move some large capacity data such as photos and videos to external storage devices.

Microsoft Patents USB-C Magnetic for Tablets
Microsoft is already quite flooded with criticism because it doesn't include 'future ports' or USB-C on its Surface tablet and laptop devices. Most recently, Microsoft finally patented the magnetic USB-C charging scheme on Surface devices.
Reporting from Tech Radar page, Monday (12/31/2018), Microsoft issued a patent on the USB-C port. The patent was previously submitted by Microsoft to WIPO since March 23 with the title "Magnetically Activated Latch Mechanism".
The patent states that the USB-C cable has a magnet on both sides of the container. This allows users to connect cables remotely without external power.
Also, when a non-magnetic USB-C plug is connected to the port, a hook inside is used to keep the cable in place. When a magnetic cable is connected, the hook system is deactivated so that the cable is connected to the magnet only.
As quoted by GSM Arena, with USB-C magnetic charging technology users don't need to use extra power to striking and pulling cables. This system prevents accidental cable withdrawals.
Because this is just a patent, it does not guarantee that Microsoft will use this system on its future devices. But this system will be accepted in the Microsoft tablet ranks
