Google Maps Android Version Add Follow Features

Google again added new features in its navigation application, Google Maps. This time they added the "follow" feature.

The follow feature is available for Google Maps users on Android. This feature is placed under the description and rating of a place.

With the follow feature, users will get the latest news from favorite places, such as restaurants, shopping centers, cafes, playgrounds and bars. "After you follow a place, you will get news about the program and promos that appear on the tab for you," said Paul Cole, Product Manager of Google Maps, reported by The Verge, Monday (10/29/2018).

Cole said, currently there are 150 million business places registered on Google Maps. He hopes more and more business places are registered on Google Maps. "We will continue to update so that users can more easily interact with their favorite places," he continued.

The follow feature on Google Maps will come gradually on Android. For users who are interested in trying it, make sure to update Google Maps to the latest version.

Whatsapp Users Can Now Send Stickers

Now Whatsapp application users can send stickers in their chats. This Facebook application announced the new feature through its blog on Saturday (10/27).

Users will be able to choose from a variety of stickers, which include tea cup illustrations smiling and broken hearts. The only way is by tapping the new sticker button on their application. Users can also choose the stickers they want to share in their chat.

Whatsapp announced, the sticker feature will be available for Android and IoS users in the coming weeks. Not all users can enjoy this feature. Android users need to get version 2.18.329 from Whatsapp and Iphone users must update the application to version 2.18.100.

Whatsapp also stated, will launch a sticker package made by their own designers as well as choices by other artists. Support for third-party sticker packages has also been added to the application to allow designers and developers from around the world to make their own stickers.

"To do this, we have included a set of APIs and interfaces that allow you to create a sticker application that adds stickers to Whatsapp on Android or Ios," Whatsapp wrote on Channel News Asia on Sunday (10/28).

Republika Soft Launching the Ihram Application

Republika's Ihram application that focuses on Hajj and Umrah information has an effort in the process of transparent and accountable hajj and umrah departure. Now the Ihram application offers various Umrah travel packages.

Pilgrims can easily choose a safe Umrah departure package. Because, there have been many incidents of potential pilgrims who failed to leave due to being deceived by travel or prospective pilgrims have paid in full but did not leave for the Holy Land.

"So this application is for Muslims who want to worship Umrah more easily and safely. We can create an application that hopefully can be used," Republika President Director Agus Yusron said in the soft launching of the Ihram Application at Republika Office, South Jakarta, Thursday (25/10).

Republika's Ihram Project Manager, Suherdi Riki, said this application was a development of the previous Ihram application. The application that launched today is the second stage by including e-commerce functions, namely the Hajj and Umrah package transactions.

Republika will notify prospective pilgrims to make payments. However, Republika will hold the payment. The payment reaches the travel hand after the pilgrims depart by travel.
