Whatsapp Users Can Now Send Stickers

Now Whatsapp application users can send stickers in their chats. This Facebook application announced the new feature through its blog on Saturday (10/27).

Users will be able to choose from a variety of stickers, which include tea cup illustrations smiling and broken hearts. The only way is by tapping the new sticker button on their application. Users can also choose the stickers they want to share in their chat.

Whatsapp announced, the sticker feature will be available for Android and IoS users in the coming weeks. Not all users can enjoy this feature. Android users need to get version 2.18.329 from Whatsapp and Iphone users must update the application to version 2.18.100.

Whatsapp also stated, will launch a sticker package made by their own designers as well as choices by other artists. Support for third-party sticker packages has also been added to the application to allow designers and developers from around the world to make their own stickers.

"To do this, we have included a set of APIs and interfaces that allow you to create a sticker application that adds stickers to Whatsapp on Android or Ios," Whatsapp wrote on Channel News Asia on Sunday (10/28).

That is, every Whatsapp user can also make his own sticker. Whatsapp says, users can publish their sticker applications like other applications to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Users who download and install will be able to start sending the stickers directly from Whatsapp.

"You can publish your sticker application like any other application to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and users who download and install your application will be able to start sending stickers directly from Whatsapp," he added.

Stickers are the latest addition to the Whatsapp feature, which includes GIFs, emojis, and camera features. Even though this sticker feature has already been used by other messaging applications such as Line, Wechat, and Kakaotalk. In addition, stickers are also now available on the Facebook Messenger application.
