What can be done with the Picture in Picture feature? With this new feature, users can directly watch (view) videos from other platform links sent by friends.
Thanks to the new Picture in Picture mode, you can play videos hosted on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and streaming right on Whatsapp, according to WaBetaInfo, quoted Wednesday (3/10).
When the user sends or receives a link from one of the video sharing services or other social media, the user can play the video directly on Whatsapp in Picture in Picture Mode. Simply tap the play (play) icon, Whatsapp will display the video in Picture in Picture mode so you can still navigate in the chat when playing the video.
Unfortunately, Picture in Picture (PiP) will disappear if you switch to another chat. But, this is not the case on the iOS operating system, so updates are expected to come for Android to fix this small problem.
Even though it was said to be available on Google Play starting on Wednesday, based on Antara's observation, the only available version was 2.18.293. Some time ago, Whatsapp also released an update namely version 2.18.234 which added Swipe to Reply feature, then displayed more group members, as well as a dark background (black).
