Today, many new trends are present in the smartphone market. In fact, recently Samsung presented innovative camera features on its mid-ranged cellphone, as seen on the Galaxy A7 and A9.
Based on this, Qualcomm seems to be laying the groundwork for other OEMs to adopt it on mid range phones with the Snapdragon 675 chipset. Reporting from the Slashgear page, Tuesday (10/23/2018) this will promise the processing power needed to implement these features.
Chipsets can do this, thanks to Qualcomm Spectra 200 Image Signal Processor (ISP). Naturally, System-on-Chip also supports AI which has become inherently tied to the camera as well.
Not only that, the chipset will also support gaming. As is known, one of the rising sub-markets in the smartphone industry seems to be a smartphone game.
Razer Phone, ASUS ROG, and several other gaming phones often use the latest high-end Snapdragon chipsets. To provide mobile mid-range fighting opportunities, the latest Snapdragon 675 processor promises to provide higher frame rates for smoother graphics.
Snapdragon 675 also includes an X12 LTE modem for downlink speeds of up to 600 Mbps and 3x operator aggregation. It also supports Quick Charge 4 Plus, which is almost never used by anyone today.
Qualcomm said that the Snapdragon 675 mobile platform is now available. However, given the time, it will not be until early next year the smartphone will use this chip.
