Hackers Cannot Login Account Medsos Connect with Facebook

Facebook experienced hacking cases on 50 million accounts of its users recently. The company also provides further updates on the incident.

He said that if he is currently conducting an investigation and trying to offer guarantees to its users.

Reporting from the Beta News page, Wednesday (03/10/2018), Facebook confirmed that hackers cannot access other accounts connected with Facebook, as well as systems that allow it to enter accounts and other services with Facebook credentials.

This was revealed by Vice President of Product Management, Guy Rosen in his blog post.

He continued, "We are now analyzing our logs for all third-party applications installed or entered during the attack we found last week. The investigation has so far not found evidence that attackers accessed any application using Facebook Login".

Rosen also explained if developers using the Facebook SDK and everyone who regularly checks the validity of their user access tokens will be automatically protected when Facebook resets people's access.

However, Facebook also does not dismiss if hacking another account will also occur under the control of Facebook.

"However, because it's very careful, because some developers may not use our SDK or regularly check whether Facebook access tokens are valid. We are building tools to allow developers to manually identify their application users who might be affected, so they can record it," he said.

The investigation continues and Facebook says it will provide further updates.
