Lenovo Prepare "Sleekbook"

Lenovo is preparing a notebook-like device Ultrabook, called Sleekbook. These products would sell for less than 800 dollars.
President Director of PT Lenovo Indonesia Indonesia Sandy Lumy explain consumers want a device at a price below but above specifications Ultrabook netbook.

"The Indonesian market is unique. Many want the prices are not expensive, but good performance, thin and stylish. So we will issue Sleekbook," Sandy said after the announcement of Lenovo Do Network event at the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta, Wednesday (7/3 / 2012).
Research by Lenovo, about 87 percent of Indonesia tend to like three categories: less price of $ 300, 300-400 and 400-600 U.S. dollars U.S. dollars.
Lenovo is preparing a Sleekbook to meet the preferred price range. In addition to similar Ultrabook, Sleekbook have a longer battery life, which is about 9 hours.
Sleekbook, continued Sandy, is also expected to meet the consumers who are not satisfied with the screen size in the range of 10-inch netbook. Sleekbook will have a range of 12-inch screen.
Nevertheless, the market will not be eroded Sleekbook notebook or netbook market. Specifications, performance and price of these devices will be different.
About the processor, Sandy explained Lenovo will not rush to implement the Intel Ivy Bridge. Until now it has not accepted the arrival of the latest processors.
"We still choose the processor. We do not know whether to use Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge. Of course, we will adjust to the Intel party," he explained.
Because it has a slim and stylish design, the Lenovo will target users of these devices to young people. Unfortunately, Sandy reluctant to explain the exact price of these devices.
Ready to Launch U300e
In the first half of 2012, Lenovo will launch two series, namely Ultrabook U300e and U400. This series complements U300s have launched earlier this year.
"To Ultrabook U400 is already on the market right now. But if U300e will be released in two weeks," said Sandy.
Ultrabook Lenovo U400 will be priced at 999 dollars. While Ultrabook U300e will sell for around 899 U.S. dollars.
The selection rates of less than 1,000 dollars is due to expand market penetration in the segment Ultrabook.
Ultrabook market penetration is currently only performed in the upper middle segment. Moreover, the price offered Ultrabook well above 1,000 U.S. dollars.
"We want to get into a broader segment, not only the premium segment. Two markets that are equally appealing," added Sandy.
Especially for U300e tend to have thicker body than U300s. Because of garanya, U300e equipped with hard disk drive (HDD), while the U300s first equipped with a Solid State Drive (SSD).
