Multi-touch Android not as sophisticated iPhone

Samsung recognizes, how the system of multi-touch input on Android is not as good or as sophisticated as the same system owned rivals, Apple implemented in the iPhone and iPad.l

The statement was issued in a Dutch court in an effort to avoid withdrawal and ban sales of products Android smartphone Samsung in a patent dispute with Apple.

On Friday (09/07/2012), Apple stated in the Hague court that the sales of the Samsung Galaxy Android device must be stopped. Because the Samsung product line was accused of infringing a patent about multi-touch input called "touch event model."



"Touch event model" refers to a technique to prevent users from pressing two buttons simultaneously on a display screen, such as the "play" and "delete" in the music application.

Samsung argues that implementasi multi-touch on Android are more complex and difficult to implement by developers, compared to similar technology on iOS. The mechanism is also different, and therefore multi-touch on Android did not infringe Apple's patents.

Though flattered, Apple declined to say that the two technologies are different things. "They say his inferior solution, but it's not true," said Apple's attorney Theo Blomme, as quoted from PCWorld.
