Google Add Phishing Attack Security for Android Gmail

Now Google has added anti-phishing security to the Gmail app for Android, the company announced earlier in the week. From now on, the Gmail app will give you additional warnings, when you click the suspicious link in the email.

"The site you are trying to visit has been identified as a forgery, intended to trick you into disclosing financial, personal or other sensitive information," wrote the warning text, quoted by Mashable Saturday (6/5).

This new feature will be gradually rolled out to all Gmail users over the next few days. This will come soon after a widespread phishing attack, which mimics Google services on a large number of users.

However, it's unclear whether a new Gmail security check will stop certain attacks, which use fake Google Documents apps that actually reside in Google's web domain. However, Google has taken steps to reduce phishing scams by removing fake pages, disabling accounts, and adding steps to prevent similar attacks from happening again.

However, the current phishing attacks are becoming more sophisticated. The attacks are increasingly difficult to recognize, even for experienced users.
