Update WhatsApp Will Add Tab Description to Group

WhatsApp has released new features for its Android and Windows applications. Through the update, WhatsApp will now add a new "Add group description" tab in the group.

That is, now WhatsApp group will have a description tab that can be filled by the user.

In this beta update, WhatsApp still allows each member of the group to change the description. But the possibility WhatsApp will only give power to the group admin only.

Reported NDTV, Thursday (22/2/2018), WhatsApp will likely release this beta update for iOS in the coming days. For Android itself is available on WhatsApp version 2.18.54 and 2.18.28 for Windows Phone.

The group description feature has limits of up to 500 characters. This description will help new users to get a brief understanding of group goals and whatever is required.

Despite being released in beta, group description updates in WhatsApp appear to be only for a few users. Because not all users can try the feature even though it has been using WhatsApp version 2.18.54 beta for Android.

The group description tab in WhatsApp will be visible in the group profile section, just below the group name. Similarly, as reported by NDTV.
