The first tablet running the operating system Firefox OS could soon be marketed . Mozilla said it was trying out the browser -based operating system on the tablet of their own making .
The Verge reported Firefox OS tablet prototype made Foxconn , a factory that also makes the iPad components . It features 10 -inch screen resolution of 1280 x 800 , 2GB RAM , 16GB storage capacity measuring and quad-core 1GHz processor .
The specifications are not overly ' wow' when compared with the high-end tablets that exist today . It was considered reasonable , see Mozilla is the intended target markets in developing countries . " Mozilla wants Firefox OS is on the cheap as much as possible , " said Verge .
Currently Firefox OS is already present in a number of smartphone devices . The plan of this operating system is also present in the smart television . Can not be confirmed whether Mozilla will market the tablet itself or just release the operating system only.
