Bing 5 Times More Malware Infected Risk

A German antivirus testing firm, AV-Test, reported that the search results with Microsoft Bing search engine produces five times more pages that contain malware than the search engine Google.

AV-Test, conducted a study to several search engines for 18 months, including Google and Bing, as reported by Ubergizmo, Monday (15/4).

In research on Google vs. Bing, researchers evaluated nearly 40 million site search results, where Bing sites containing malware produces five times more than Google.


Of 10.9 million sites in Google's search engine results, only 272 pages containing malware detected, while Bing produces 1,285 malicious websites.

Malicious websites that have malware that exploits a security vulnerability that exists, especially if the user does not update the browser and its add-ons. Users are always updating browsers and add-ons risk for contracting malware diminished. Malware exploiting security vulnerabilities PDF readers, web browsers, and add-ons that are not updated with the new version.

This shows how important it is to update the browser or add-ons. Update smallest whatever can reduce the vulnerability of developing malware. It's a never ending battle against malware online, so it is always better to strengthen your defenses.
