Panasonic introduces the Lumix GF6, the latest models of the series entry-level mirrorless cameras belong to the producers. Compared to its predecessor (GF5), GF6 Lumix comes with a number of new features.
One of the most prominent are WiFi and NFC additional connection that allows users to control the camera via GF6 Android or iOS device.
Catches image can be directly transferred to the mobile device so users press the shutter relase.
NFC feature already available on some models of Panasonic compact cameras. Lumix GF6 marking the use of this technology for the first time in the line of interchangeable-lens cameras belong to the producers.
From the technical side, carrying GF6 micro four-thirds sensor same 16MP Lumix GX1 with a sensitivity range of ISO 160-25600. Combined with the Venus Engine FHD processor, Lumix GF6 provide speed burst rate of 3.7 FPS.
The camera is also capable of recording full-HD video up to 1080i format 60 FPS 30 FPS 1080p AVCHD or MP4 format.
Other features include a 3 inch LCD screen (1,040,000 pixels) with a flexible hinge that can be rotated through 180 degrees to the front. There is also a zoom lever surrounding the shutter relase button, as it is also found in compact cameras in general.
Prospective buyers who are interested can choose anatra four color options, namely black, white, brown, or red.
There has been no official information about the schedule of the availability of this device, but Engadget says that the Lumix GF6 will likely be available next month at a price of 680 U.S. dollars, or approximately USD 6.7 million for the version with the 14-42 mm kit lens.
