Fujitsu developed a technology that provides a sense of touch screen on the surface of plain paper.
As reported by Mashable, Monday (15/4), the technology can basically detect objects in the real world that touch your finger and allow users to manipulate virtual, similar to when you use your phone or tablet touch screen.
"This system does not use any special hardware. He only uses devices such as a webcam, plus regular projector. Ability can be obtained thanks to image processing technology," said researchers at Fujitsu Media Service System Lab, Taichi Murase. By using a finger swipe, you can select and copy images or text / writing then keep it.
In addition to the flat surface, this technology can also be applied to rough or curved surfaces. It is believed to be easier for users to manipulate data from a book.
This technology is still in the demonstration stage. Researchers at Fujitsu plans to develop a commercial version of the system in 2014.
