Youtube Have Feature Stories like Instagram

Youtube presents the latest features for its creators. This feature resembles the Stories feature found on Instagram.

Creators who already have 10 thousand followers, have the opportunity to use this feature. Reporting from The Verge, there are some basic differences between the Stories feature on Instagram and those owned by Youtube.

If Instagram Stories can only be seen within 24 hours, features on Youtube can last up to seven days. Not only for followers, even accounts that are not followers can see Stories from creators.

These stories will appear in the Up Next column next to the video. Creators who use these features can also respond and interact with their followers.

Uniquely, the response and interaction can be seen by anyone who opens the Stories. Followers can also leave comments or questions in the Stories and creators can show a general response.

This Youtube Stories was first introduced in November 2017. The focus of this feature is to embrace the community and promotional channels more than video uploads per day. Creators can show how the behind-the-scenes process of creating video content or giving a leak about a collaboration plan.

The appearance of this feature gets a variety of responses from its users. Some provide support, advice and not a few who cast criticism.

"Youtube's death is increasingly visible. If Youtube stops imitating other social media and develops old features, there is still a chance to retain users," said one user of the Reddit site.

Even famous artists such as Philip DeFranco also commented on this latest feature. "Youtube 'Stories' are very strange. They lasted for 7 days, people were free to comment, but they could only be replied with other videos, there were many shortcomings, for me this was a lost opportunity. Potential but I was skeptical," Philip wrote on Twitter.

For those who want to try this new feature, the method is quite easy. Open the Youtube application on the mobile application, tap the camera image and select "Creating Story".
