Flare Eee PC, Netbook Intel Atom Cedar Trail with Keyboard Chicklet

Although many people began to doubt the prospects for the Netbook, Acer apparently did not give up. Taiwan-based manufacturer is preparing Eee PC Flare.

It is said that this latest product will be showcased at the International Consumer Electronic Show 2012 in Los Angeles, United States mid-January. Flare was mentioned as a successor to the previous netbook, Seashell.

Working with the latest Intel Atom processor - codenamed Cedar Trail -, Flare is expected to have better performance than the product class. Because Cedar Trail dual-core 32nm processors have a graphics capability that can play 1080p HD video. He was a step forward compared to previous Intel Atom.

Another advantage, the latest generation of Intel Atom processor is claimed to consume electricity 20 percent more efficient than its predecessor. With lower power consumption battery can last up to 10 hours with standby time achieved in a matter of weeks.

In addition to the Intel Atom Cedar Trail, Asus seems to also provide a version of AMD. For versions of AMD processors will use AMD's Fusion.

Following the excellent Asus notebooks, Flare will also be equipped with a chicklet keyboard that was the trend. Chiclet is the keyboard has a greater distance between the keys. Chiclet conceptually designed to pamper its users, because the distance between the keys larger, it is expected there will be fewer typo when typing.

Not only comfortable to use for typing, the keyboard is easier to clean than the keyboard in general. In certain Acer notebooks, chicklet also equipped with back-lit. So that letters or characters on the keys light up when in dim lighting.
