Android Pay and Google Wallet Became Google Pay

The digital wallet platform, Android Pay and Google Wallet, which is a peer-to-peer payment service, fuses into a single payment system under the Google Pay brand.

For the old users of both services, this change is just a logo issue. But Google stressed if there will be many benefits taken from the synergy.

Google Pay includes other ways for users to use and pay for Google services, such as Play Store, purchases through Chrome, YouTube, and Android apps for in-app purchases.

The Google Pay system will also collect credit card details information, and stored in your Google account (Gmail).

"With Google Pay, it's easier for users to use the payment information stored in Google accounts," Google says as KompasTekno outlines from Android Central on Wednesday (10/1/2018).

In the next few weeks, Google Pay online will be available in stores and all Google products.

To attract new users, Google is luring a discount for some products sold in some retail stores that work with Google.

Google also says if some apps like Airbnb, Dice, and Fandago have updated with Google Pay that will be followed by other apps in the future.
