Currently a video call app, Google Duo is pretty limited on mobile. That is, if you want to use it on a tablet, it is not possible, at least not in official capacity.
But it seems Google can work by bringing Duo to a tablet, according to a recent tweet by one of the app developers. According to Justin Uberti who is Duo's main engineer, he responded to a tweet by users asking to bring tablet support to Duo.
"Stay tuned," said Justin Uberti in his Twitter account, quoted from the Ubergizmo page. The statement is not a confirmation, but it is also not a denial, and it is thought the Duo idea that entered the tablet is not too far-fetched.
Currently Duo works by associating it with a phone number, but considering apps like Skype, Hangouts, and FaceTime can work on multiple devices, it's not too difficult for Duo to do the same.
Expanding the Duo to tablets can also help increase adoption, where users looking for video calling capabilities on their tablets will now have an alternative, especially when you consider the Duo has been fairly well received because it is responsive, and user-friendly.
