High Resolution Audio Triggers Enhancement of Wireless Speakers

Current technological developments are increasingly rapid, including devices for listening to music or speakers. Some of these devices have cable, bluetooth or wireless features.

According to one of the CEOs of electronic goods distribution companies in Indonesia V2 Indonesia, Rudi Hidayat said if wireless speakers are currently increasing. This is in line with the development of high-resolution (Hi-Res) audio quality. Hi-Res Audio is the latest audio technology with high quality.

"Wireless speakers are now greatly improved. Where on Spotify now also supports Hi-Res. So now we need a wireless speaker," when met in the SCBD area, Jakarta, Tuesday (6/11/2018).

According to him, wireless speakers currently support high audio resolutions. So as to be able to display the best performance. He also believes that there will be many brands that will support wireless speakers and leave bluetooth speakers.

For information, V2 Indonesia and KEF have just introduced the latest premium speakers that have Uni-Q technology, KEF LSX. This is the latest version of the LS50 wireless which was launched in June 2018.

According to him, the market response for products priced at around IDR 38.5 million is quite large.

"The market share for the category premium segment is 35 percent," he said.

Furthermore, the KEF LSX device with a lower price level is expected to be able to reach a larger market share of up to 50 percent.

"High-end market research has the potential, so we launch it at Pacific place. Extraordinary animations are Medan, Bandung and Surabaya. So we will open stores in Surabaya next year," he said.

Meanwhile, when asked whether to issue a cheaper device, he revealed, "Surely they (KEF LSX) will come out with a smaller version, maybe another year. We also have 4 million products (different markets)".

Meanwhile for his market strategy, he said if he would introduce the brand to the millennial generation.

"It must be brand education, because the millennial generation does not yet know this brand. If it is in their 40s, they certainly already know. In order for these young people to know there is a good brand," he added.
