If you think that Flipboard ambition begins and ends with news and magazine publishers in the iPad application, you try to think again. Flipboard now being set up TV shows and movies.
In an interview with Reuters, CEO Mike McCue Flipboard revealed that his company began working to bring the video in an application by the end of this year. And this is what makes investors Ashton Kutcher did not hesitate.
McCue interpret whether the video will appear on that application by the end of this year or he will spend the next five months to formulate a contract with studio partner, is also unclear.
"We asked about a variety of content on Flipboard any time and our answer is we can imagine all kinds of content will be viewed through Flipboard dapay at any time, especially since all the content into social media," said Christel van der Boom, which handles communications in Flipboard. "That's our vision of the future," he said.
McCue also said he hopes the release version of the iPhone in the near future, and his company can make a profit next year, but will reinvest the money instead.
