Ultrabook not Kill Notebooks and Tablets

Acer presents Acer Aspire Ultrabook S3, Wednesday (28/9/2011), which is the first product in Indonesia ultrabook. This product combines advantages of notebooks and tablets, which is a reliable performance and flexibility in use.


Although notebooks and tablet combines excellence, the Acer said that would not kill ultrabook notebooks and tablet markets that already exist today. Attendance ultrabook just a response to market needs and efforts Acer meet user needs.
"It's not going to replace the tablet. We want to deliver products to users according to their needs. We wanted to have many product categories, so it'll just select the appropriate person," said David Lee, Associate Vice President of Mobile Computing Business Unit of Acer Inc..
David confirmed that each product has different segments. Notebooks may be suitable for many people who worked behind the desk, while the tablet suitable for mobile users with simple activities. Ultrabook meet the needs of mobile users with more activity.
It says that ultrabook not rivals from netbook products. Ultrabook more focused on a segment of young professional users with high mobility. While the netbook is more focused on the early adopter, such as housewives and students.
"In conclusion, this compliment to the user. We just take the benefits inherent in notebooks and tablets. Users want what we develop for them," Jason Lim, Country Manager of Acer Group Indonesia, in a special interview today in Jakarta.

Acer Aspire S3 has the main features Instant On ultrabook can turn in just 1.5 seconds from sleep states and 6 seconds of the condition of deep sleep. There are also features Instant Connect is capable of connecting to the internet in 4 seconds.
Ultrabook product is planned to be sold in Indonesia at a price of $ 7 million's starting next October. For the first wave, about 300,000 units of product will be delivered. Acer believes, Indonesia is a potential market for this product.
